Reach your full potential as a Junior Purchase Manager

As a Junior Purchase Manager you will join our Purchase team. The Purchase teams within B&S are committed to the purchasing of our products. You play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of our A-brands such as Hersheys, Haribo and CocaCcola under the best conditions, without losing sight of quality and delivery reliability.

As a new addition to our purchasing team, you will be responsible for your own purchasing area. This means that as a buyer you are independently responsible for a specific part of the purchasing process.

We prepare you to become an independent Purchase Manager.

You:

  • Take charge of selecting suppliers and managing the entire negotiation process
  • Maintain contact with existing suppliers and try to expand your network by building new relationships
  • Will initially communicate a lot via telephone and digital meetings. Eventually, there will also be regular trips abroad on your schedule
  • Your responsibilities also include registering and processing purchase orders. Due to your accuracy working, you ensure that the order process runs smoothly.

This is you

You have a commercial mindset, and you are a natural entrepreneur. Your goal is to learn and grow as much as possible within your purchase team. To do so, you are eager and ask a lot of questions. In addition, you like to explore things, seek opportunities and think outside the box. You continuously push boundaries to challenge yourself!

You:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in a commercial field
  • Have gained about one to three years of working experience in a commercial position, during your internship or a side job
  • Can work with Excel, and you are good with numbers
  • Are internationally oriented during an internship or a side-job
  • Have a good command of the English (required) and Dutch (preferably) language in speaking and writing. Command of another language is an advantage

We offer you

  • A maximum salary of €3500,- in line with your experience, plus a yearly fixed Christmas bonus and a performance dependent bonus
  • Initially, a one-year contract with the prospect of  permanent employment 
  • 25 vacation days, with the possibility to purchase additional days
  • A travel allowance of up to 75 km on single trip travel when working at the office, or an allowance if you’re working remotely (from home)
  • The flexibility to work 1 day a week from home
  • A pension scheme where 2/3rd of the pension costs are paid by us
  • The possibility to take courses related to your growth ambitions and function
  • A coaching program focused on your mental health (non-binding)
