Reach your full potential as Purchase Manager Asia
As Purchase Manager, you will be responsible for the procurement of a wide range of products from Asia. You will work in a small team and report to the Head of Purchase Food. You will lead the purchasing process for your specific product category. The purchasing strategy focuses strongly on Asian markets, so it is important that you understand the culture and know how to communicate and cooperate effectively with suppliers. Your challenge will be to keep several balls high, manage your priorities and meet deadlines. You will interact a lot with the Fulfillment, Sales and Finance departments to keep the whole process running.
Your day-to-day activities
- You will be responsible for choosing suppliers, conducting negotiations and defining the purchasing strategy within your category.
- Maintaining contact with existing suppliers and actively working to expand your network by building new suppliers.
- You will travel to suppliers in Asia several times a year and visit several relevant trade fairs.

You have a commercial mindset, are entrepreneurial and like to think outside the box. With your powers of persuasion, you know how to convince both suppliers and colleagues of your insights and ideas. You are driven by challenges and are constantly up to date with the latest trends and developments in your field. Together with your team, you always strive for better results.
You
- Have a completed commercial education, at least HBO level
- Have around 5-10 years of experience in the food sector
- Are handy with Excel and very strong with figures
- Have international experience, preferably with a focus on Asian markets
- Have an excellent command of English and Mandarin. Vietnamese or another Asian language is a plus.
