As a Sales Manager of Duty Free, you are the key link between global A-brands and international customers such as airports, border shops, and ferries. You know how to turn opportunities into results and are looking for a new challenge where you can fully unleash your entrepreneurial mindset. In this role, sales is all about building long-term partnerships with your customers and brand partners. You move easily between those worlds and know better than anyone how to close deals that create value for all parties

Key responsibilities

  • Be the main point of contact between A-brands like Mars, Diageo, Heineken, Dior, and your international Duty Free clients who sell these products in their retail environments.
  • Work across multiple categories and maintain close contact with your customers. You're not just a salesperson, you’re a strategist and relationship builder.
  • Manage customer relationships via phone and online, while also visiting them regularly.
  • Coordinate order processing and customer satisfaction, using your analytical skills to continuously monitor and adjust to market developments, strategies, and performance.
  • Use your sharp deal-making instincts during negotiations, keeping a close eye on both margins and long-term relationships.

Key deliverables

  • Setting individual sales targets with your reporting manager and meeting those planned sales goals
  • Tracking sales goals and reporting back to management the progress
  • Promoting B&S organization and the products
  • Understand our ideal customers and how they relate to our customers

You are an entrepreneurial team player with a commercial mindset. You think ahead, act with purpose, and use your sharp analyses and clear approach to make a real impact. You thrive on closing deals and enjoy working in an international, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

  • Based on the ground in Africa, close to our customers & suppliers
  • Have the discipline to work from home unsupervised, overseas from corporate offices
  • Proven ability to deliver new business and opportunities, go-getter attitude
  • Have a university degree in commercial discipline
  • Have at least 4 years of experience in sales, preferably in FMCG
  • Are both a team player and an independent deal-closer
  • Have experience with distribution and are quick to spot and seize commercial opportunities
  • Possess strong analytical skills, you know your numbers and use them strategically
  • Speak fluent English, both written and spoken; French, Arabic or Portuguese a plus
  • Have experience with international travel and are open to traveling
