Reach your full potential as Purchase Manager Spirits
In this role, you will take over part of the existing portfolio. Your challenge will be to build and expand this portfolio. You are responsible for the commercial part towards sales and supplier relationship management. You understand the brand proposition, what obstacles they encounter and how you can create solutions with B&S as a link between them.
You work with major brands and think strategically about how their products can be visible internationally - from airports to cruise ships and airlines. Duty free is the ‘Window to the world’ for these brands not just a sales channel, but a marketing tool. You know how to add value there.
You interact a lot with Fulfilment department, Sales, Marketing and suppliers. The role is international and requires you to be representative, persuasive and commercially strong. Travelling is part of the job: think of 2-3 trade fairs per year such as ProWein or TFWA Cannes, and visits to suppliers in Europe. Worldwide. Procurement at B&S knows no regional boundaries - the whole world is your playing field.
Your day-to-day activities
- Responsibility for your own buying area and portfolio of beverage brands
- Strategic thinking on brand positioning and visibility
- Relationship management with existing suppliers and actively seeking new opportunities
- Making purchasing agreements and negotiating prices, margins and distribution contracts
- Identifying commercial opportunities and trends in the market
- Contributing to brand strategy towards duty-free channels
This is you
You are an ambitious, independent go-getter with flair. You switch easily between strategic thinking and day-to-day action, and know how to use them in your negotiations. You have commercial acumen, follow what's going on in the world and are curious about how brands operate and where King of Reach can add value. You know how to find answers and how to always go the extra mile for results.
You
- Have a completed college education, preferably commercial or economic focused
- Have 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a commercial or procurement role
- Think strategically and be hands-on
- Feels at home in an international setting and is open to travelling
- Have a strong interest in brands, marketing and positioning
- You are analytically strong and work in a structured way
- Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage
