Reach your full potential as Operations Manager

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient, safe, and structured flow of goods from inbound to outbound within our brand-new cold store. This state-of-the-art facility is equipped with the latest technologies, including Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), shuttle storage, and high-tech picking stations. The official opening is scheduled for September.

You will lead a team of 15 employees, which will grow to 25 over time. In this day-shift role, you’ll coordinate all logistics processes and translate business needs into concrete operational solutions. You’ll act as the primary point of contact for government agencies such as Customs and the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA), and you’ll liaise smoothly with various internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll maintain oversight, safeguard inventory accuracy, and ensure quality and safety. In addition, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues from sales, procurement, and the other warehouse. You look ahead and translate trends, bottlenecks, and data into realistic improvement initiatives.

Your day-to-day activities

  • Manage daily operations (day shift) in a technically advanced cold store.
  • Lead and develop a growing team (from 15 to 25 employees).
  • Maintain relationships with external partners and translate customer needs into logistical solutions.
  • Optimize processes based on data, trends, and your own insights.
  • Act as the point of contact for regulatory bodies such as the NVWA and coordinate across operations, commerce, and technology.

You

  • Have at least 3 years of experience in a managerial logistics role.
  • Possess a higher professional education (HBO) level of thinking and working.
  • Have experience in customer-focused logistics services.
  • Maintain an active network in transport and distribution.
  • Are experienced with carriers and logistics partners.
  • Have an affinity for technology and innovation.
  • Possess strong communication skills and a diplomatic approach.
  • Are proficient in English (Dutch is a plus).
  • Are passionate about process optimization and logistics technology.
